Role purpose                                      

The VFX Project Manager is in charge of organizing the production of the visual effects while working in close collaboration with the VFX Supervisor and VFX Executive Producer. S/He is also responsible for the supervision and management of the entire production team (Coordinators, Supervisors, Artists). Finally, s/he must monitor the project’s budget and overall planning while ensuring that production runs smoothly.        

Report to:                                              VFX Executive Producer

Key responsibilities

• Manage artists, timelines and customer expectations for the projects
• Maintain projects on time and on pre-established budgets
• Manage the production pipeline and ensure compliance of projects
• Facilitates evolution of VFX tracking software, including internal systems,
• Prepare contracts, quotation and invoice
• Present brief to the clients
• Monitor and predict expenses: collaborate with accounting for monthly reports;
• Frequently collaborates with and supports efforts to create better alignment between verticals.
• Provide assistance as needed with all aspects of VFX production

Qualifications

• Experience in project management in a film production environment and visual effects;
• Extensive knowledge of the creation process and terms used in Visual Effects Production and CG pipelines;
• Excellent organizational and communication skills;
• Experience with project and team management is a plus;
• Proficient in using office software.
